Anarchist the thing is that one can like both technically talented bands and bands like AA. They use basic and overused techniques but it doesn't mean they aren't likable, simply because of what they make of their talent. Me liking this album so much doesn't mean they are my favorites. I tend to like a lot of what I hear because I'm more new to metal core, and the 4.5 may seem high but that's because there are some really great parts in this album. My favorite metalcore album of all time is Alive or Just breathing by KsE..if that indicates how broad my taste is.

No I get what you mean, it's the same with me and BMTH. But I don't like it when people label these guys as talented song writers and their favourite band whilst ignoring others

"Oh. You're new to metalcore. This all makes sense now."
Relatively. I mean, about a year and a half now, but yeah I'm still getting into it.
"Your taste is SO broad."
+1 to the countless assholes here that use sarcastic one-liners instead of actual reason. I meant broad as in I don't only listen to easycore: I like genuine metalcore as well.

easycore is pop/punk mixed with metalcore. I'd say A day to remember is a good example.

sspedding, I'm sorry but it doesn't matter what you call the music; the genre name doesn't matter or represent any thing wrong. A Day To remember isn't metal core, but isn't pop/punk completely either. They decided to do what they love, and guess what, it doesn't sound bad to a lot of people, including me. I guess we should blame bands like the Beatles, black sabbath, led zeppelin, etc for doing their own thing and creating "sub genres," because obviously the "PROOF" is there that they mixed different types of music and obviously should gtfo, and we should all praise you for figuring out this mystery that has plagued the music industry. METALCORE itself is a subgenre of METAL, which derives from ROCK AND ROLL, which can be traced all the way to CLASSICAL MUSIC through jazz and blues. If you want to tell the evolution of music to gtfo then you might as well throw away hundreds of years of what created the music you listen to. I'm sorry easycore exists, and maybe that isn't the technical name for it. I'll always love metal core, metal, rock, whatever! all types of music hold beauty!, but change happens and its the basis of your musical lifestyle. If you were the same age 50 years ago you would despise the music you listen to now.

Oh MY GOD, some one has an opinion, in real life! Oh know, It's been me all along, look at my rating! I should be punished for doing such a terrible thing as liking music that I find good personally.
