i hate how these guys whore themselves out to every scene fuck on the planet. this band is an example of how fucked the music industry is right now it's so fucking easy to get big. people would rather see shit like this than hard working bands playing honest music.

It's funny how you say they "Whore them selves out" That makes no fucking sense whats so ever. These guys are not like the other bands they took what others band did and made it better. Fucked up music industry? Lmao, the music industry isnt fucked our generation is just changing and people just can't accept it :/ Ah well.

I was going to question how they have made anything better and then I saw...

This album is actually pretty damn good, had a few listens over the past few days, and the chorus' are awesome. Bland riffs though.

First of all, I'm not a huge popcore/easycore fan and neither am I a scene kid. I got into AA because it stuck out from the rest of the "scene." I think the choruses in the first album overall destroy the ones in Reckless (they didn't seem too cliche and actually interesting and deep), but R&R has too many good screaming, guitar and mixing moments for it to be rated a flimsy 2.5/5. I personally give it a 4.5/5 and the first album the same score. Compared to most scene bands this music is pretty heavy and well produced. (but tell me why The Match is so good compared to the rest of the album?) Again, I'm not a huge easycore guy but AA got me into the 50/50 screaming/vocals formula (I used to be a mostly screaming only fan, like KSE) and they remain my favorite band that has these cliche choruses mixed in their songs.
And someone please give me some examples of bands in the same genre that are better. I'd love to hear them. I have pure metalcore covered though, so you don't need to go there for me.
P.S. This album would have been better if they did some A7X type guitar harmonies in place of the alternate pick "chugging" you guys mention that fills a lot of the album. After a while I realized that "damn, maybe this album contains just the same damn repetitive top string guitar pattern" and kind of lost respect for it for a bit after this realization. But went back and re-recognized the amazing parts, which are good enough to justify my 4.5/5.

And why is that? Just because you think the album sucks it means I'm an ignorant scene kid for rating it so high? Maybe you metalcore elites can understand not everyone thinks music is only good when it contains exactly the same principles as one specific band you listen to and think rules every one and automatically makes every other band suck ass. I like to have variety in my music collection and bought R&R because AA is one of the few boyish-sounding bands that actually stands out and sounds decent among the rest. Why don't you share what bands and albums you think are so great? I'm sure I would agree with most of what you make reference to.

You're trying way too hard. Don't waste your time commenting too much on just me. I'm just an idiot anyway. My opinion is void.

I can't believe this guys won British Newcomer at the Kerrang awards.
Well, I can.
Which is worse.
Eurgh I don't care if people listen to this, I just hate it when they say these guys are talented, or they're one of their favourite bands or any other statement which implies this band is one of the best or stands out from the rest.
