Also 1337Kellx, what are you even thinking, "A Higher Place>this" are you insane? Answer = yes

I'm digging this a lot. It started out as hovering around a 3 but more and more of the songs are growing on me the more I listen to it so I moved it up to a 4. Ridiculously huge improvement over a higher place. The only part about these guys that still bothers me is the vocals. I loved them on The New Reign, but ever since A Higher Place I haven't been able to stand them. Still, the instrumentals make up for it in my opinion.

"Forget the Born of Osiris you know. They started out playing their own brand of technical deathcore notable for melodic keyboard interludes - a breath of fresh air but nothing spectacular, especially in terms of musicmanship" im sorry but eat my ass, have you ever herd of time changes, plyrythyms? there first album was full of them and do you know how goddamn hard it is to do that shit? they have always had great musician ship. the drums? amazing. that right there made me think your full of shit.

It's amazing how much improvement was shown coming from A Higher Place to this. Glad to see these guys go in a much better direction. Hopefully this continues to happen.

1. Totally stole Dark Tranquility's keyboardist.

2. Mixing sucks. Not enough definition of guitars. Tones are unclear.

Other than that, a step forward no doubt. I really wish it was mixed better though.

I really liked A Higher Place.. The production on it was bad but i still really like that album. A lot of guitar riffs well worth getting down and adding to your stash of stuff to shred on.

Wow, the atmosphere this album creates is pretty cool, even if it may sound a bit strange at times. The vocals are decent too. Haven't listened to it much, but so far Born of Osiris has kept my interest.
