Nothing can decimate an album with Speed Trials, Big Nothing, Between the Bars, Angeles and Say Yes on it. Probably 5 of his top 20 songs there and the rest are only just behind.

Clementine isn't a major fave of mine but those are all good songs. The Biggest Lie, Needle and St Ides are my top 3 but they get owned by Angeles, Between and Say Yes for me

Baby Britain, Pitseleh and Waltz No 1 are my xo picks and again I'd say I prefer them
Basement is interesting because Memory Lane, King's Crossing and Twilight are right up there - part of me thinks they could be the strongest top three of the lot

I was hoping a relisten would push my rating up but it's still perched at a 3.7/3.8 sort of place between a 3.5 and a 4
The only time I really enjoy the album is before going to sleep, that's where it has a unique appeal
All the later Smith albums are great to take out and about. That listen heading home didn't really work

I'm surprised a bit so many feel this is his best, I listened to the first half of Either/Or straight after and it just lifted me a level instantly. It's filled with classic juice
