wow a lot of people have disagreed agreeably with this review it seems, i'm impressed

It's still the best review in terms of writing.
Surprisingly, the staff reviews are pretty bad.

why is that surprising?
nice review, you bring up everything about Radiohead that bores me about them
but i love some o' these songs like Seperator, Codex, Lotus Flower. Seperator has the illest guitarwork

why is that surprising?
Because staff members are supposed to be good writers?

The modern staff are all great writers. Although tbh I like some of the contributors better.

excellent review phlebas! pos.
i think that if this was released by anyone one else but radiohead, it wouldn't get near as much love as it's getting. it's not bad though, just disappointing.

Great review, though I clearly enjoyed this album more than you. Kid A and Amnesiac are just far too sterile for my tastes. This album might not be innovative, but I thought they added a much appreciated human element to their sound.

this album is getting a bit overrated

Undeniable, really - this type of abstract electronica will always be a niche genre, on the whole. But then, Radiohead have produced some great stuff in the past, so it's not surprising people are willing to invest their time and appreciation. Just think there's better stuff than this knocking around. And cheers, guys.

Dehumanised, but not that difficult

parts of this ("morning mr magpie, "little by little" remind me of stuff around the bends era, namely the iron lung EP. which is kind of great, since i'd rarely if ever listen to that EP again. seperator is my new favourite radiohead song too. people wanting a part 2 after listening to part 2 of this album are kooky.

separator's still ringing in my ears right now, and coupled with give up the ghost really closes out a radiohead album better than any final two tracks on a radiohead album
