This is electronic music yes, but as said previously, it has a very organic feel to it. Jaar uses lots of samples, even in certain parts it includes odd clacking noises (sounds like they were made with his mouth), pages being flipped through in a book, and of course, live instrumentation. But even though there are a lot of natural sounds, Jaar washes over them with other sounds and dissonance to the point wear it feels degraded. This album almost feels ancient at times, yet it is clearly not. As Fitz said in his review, this album really stresses what is inbetween the notes; you get lost in the music and it stretches your imagination.
