I've always liked Hail to the Theif more than most people so I'll probably like this.

"I know more people will agree with you than me, but honestly, I think this is completely wrong. There are maybe 30 albums ever, maximum, where I've changed my opinion after the second listen. (And none of them are Radiohead albums, for what it's worth"

I agree with you there. I think the most I have ever changed a rating by is .5, unless I completely grew out of that artist.

3.5 is meager for how much I'm loving this. I know, I know, I should take it easy on the 5, but based on my listens so far, I might actually dig this as much as Kid A and OK and those albums where so special to me. Will have to see, but seriously, this is not great, this is effing hitting home.

But 'ey, to each their own. I hope more will digg it the way I do now.

This album is more consistent than Hail to the Thief but the latter has better stand alone tracks so is kind of balanced between the two for me.

I swear I would really like this album if it weren't for the drummers consistent need to ruin every song with repetitive beats that belong in DnB. It only works on Lotus Flower.

I'm inclined to agree with you, in most cases, especially at the age I'm at now (however the things I would have rated highly at ages 15-18 are completely different than what I'd do at 21-25). Yet, I guarantee if this was a user review then we'd have at least a few people denigrating them for reviewing this only a few hours after getting it. In fact, I've seen that happen as recently as two weeks ago on this site...
