I thought this album would be really good but most of the songs just don't work. There are some moments which sound good but parts of some songs sound terrible. 'No Leaf Clover' is an amazing song.

I agree with your statements, keysofanxiety. Although the symphony changes some of the songs completely, it doesn't take away from the fact that they're still kickass. The first I ever heard One was the S&M recording, which I thought was awesome, but when I heard the original I was surprised at the difference. On this recording, you can'teven hear the intro solo.

Seems like nobody noticed how bad Lars Ulrich is with the metronome on this album. Sad But True hurts my ears with drumming this bad.

Really nice review, just disagreed with some song-ratings, like sad but true.. but anyway, it's an awesome album, the first Metallica's album I heard 2 years ago. I think if I had first listened to any studio-album, I'd hate Metallica forever (cuz of James' voice, e.g. Kill 'em All) but it's one of the best albums I've ever heard in my life. 10/10 forever.

first thing first i like orchestration and why not with metallica some of it worked, some of it didn't but it was pretty cool of them include call of khtulu and thing that should not be.After all it was more meaningful compared to those previous load of shit records.

I wanted to rate this with a 1 because of the last sentence you hear in this album.

"Same time next year"

THERE WAS NO FUCKING NEXT YEAR
