I agree though, 4.4 avgs. for both releases is fucking insanity.
i think that for the first time i'm going to have to disagree with Xenophanes. Defeater are one of the few hyped-to-death sputnik bands that actually deserve the hype imo.

yah I mean I just found out they had hype, but I'd say they deserve it. The EP (Lost Ground) and the LP (Travels) are both just insanely good. I haven't 5'd either of them but I only started listening to this band a few months ago.

In accordance to Bridge Nine Records website Dear Father is not an EP it is a single. Since when did singles follow any sort of development or flow? It is simply a teaser and I feel it shouldn't even up on sputnik with the ability to rate.
I personally love both songs, although I do agree the lyrics do fall a bit short on I Don't Mind but it is still very good. I also find both tracks to be packed with emotion.
