tears are streaming down my face Eno... just because you can't see them from NJ doesn't mean my feelings aren't hurt : (
but i dunno I'd call 34 ratings, 3.9 avg, 3 pages of comments (I would say 6, but I think about half of them are mine) is moderate success

it only has 2 more ratings than formlessness, to provide sum context

I'm pumped for their next record. If there is one thing this had; it's potential.

Really? I feel that the vocals sort of separates this band from a lot of the other post-rock groups out there. Plus, the vocals make the songs much catchier.
|
| |
yeah but it kind of creates this disparity between catchy and grand and for some reason i just wish they'd choose one of them cause i can't handle both at the same time
|
| |
it's still good though i just need to listen some more (also grand was an odd word choice but whatever)

Oh yeah, I see what you're saying. I think they do a pretty good job at combining catchy & epic. Of course, I am a little biased when it come to this band since they sound like a more post-rocky Arcade Fire and I love both Arcade Fire and post-rock.

Live the vocals made so, so much sense.
In fact, live, the band made so much sense. In my top 5 live acts ever.

Hey look, I like something that Eric does. Wonders will never cease! ;-)
Following their accessible post-rock debut, Manchester quintet Spokes return with a bolder outlook on 'Everyone I Ever Met'. While many post-rock traits are evident, there is a notable indie-rock vibe integrated into the impressively crafted arrangements. Furthermore, vocals (including female & group) have become integral to the band's make-up, giving the LP a multi-dimensional feel. There are quieter stages, toe-tapping climactic rock-outs & pleasingly more awe-inspiring violin melodies. It lulls near the end, but this is still a cohesive, versatile & excellent album. Recommended Tracks: Torn Up In Praise, 3 4 5, We Can Make It Out & Everyone I Ever Met.
