it does sorta break the concept, like an ode to awkwardness and literature, probs my least favourite too.
i once really preferred L&L to this, probably due to a breakup or something, but recon site stuck with me more - something about samson's brilliant lyricism of life & death gets me every time.

both albums have absolutely god-tier lyrics. My Favourite Chords is their best song I reckon so I'm leaning towards that but this album is still so good.

"Our Retired Explorer" had to grow on me, started off as my least favorite here and now it's top 5 prob, fun as all get-out
Having said that, this album does get a teensy bit cheesy from time to time imo so Left and Leaving >
