new version of stars is amazing, the release of the songs before hand was also a very unique and paid due to how important the releases were in the history of the band

Plus the new songs off the 1/1/11 bootleg sound amazing

Your responsibility to ask when your ban is done, although most of you will probably be too stupid to read this thread.

TheFragile...it has nothing to do with where the band wants to go. You obviously haven't heard their new songs.

didn't listen to any of the singles and I'm only a Glassjaw fan through the first two records.

So this is pretty much prime for me, because I haven't heard a single song on here :D

The only reason they put these out in the first place was because fans have wanted it for a while and because it doesn't fit the direction that the new songs/LP (Gold, Vanilla Poltergeist Snake, Black Nurse, etc.)

Stars is unbelievably brutal, melodic, sexy and even Deftones-y...what a slick treat

"Stars" is easily one of the best songs Glassjaw has written - reworked or not.

I started off thinking this album was a 4 (excellent) just for the instumentation, but then I contrasted the vocals to the intruments and realized the vocals were less than great. So, I'm ending up giving it a 3, also because the songs are dragged out by the vocal content, and I think more could have been done instrumentally to add some building variance in the progression of the songs. It seems each song is a statement in itself instead of taking you for a ride or a journey or something. Too bad, and I hope the next LP is better.

His vocals aren't top form but they're hardly bad
