And maybe his delivery on tracks like ‘Gorgeous’ and ‘All of the Lights’ is the stunted, rhythmless croaks of a buffoon.
Gorgeous is one of the best songs here, kill yourself.

Thanks, guys. Don't think bias has anything to do with it, even people who disliked him before seem to like this. Just a matter of taste.

So.... other than Runaway, I don't understand any of your criticisms of this album at all.
"I treat the cash the way the government treats the AIDS, I won’t be satisfied ‘til all my niggas get it. Get it?" - That's a good line. You probably don't agree with the message, and it's not like one of the best lyrics ever made, but if that's really the line that you're going to point out as one of the weakest spots in an album, then it must be a pretty good album.
"his delivery on tracks like ‘Gorgeous’ and ‘All of the Lights’ is the stunted, rhythmless croaks of a buffoon" - Idk what you're talking about. He stayed on beat and he had a lot of power in his voice on both songs (which is why, if you were going to complain about the delivery on any song, I'd expect it to be on Dark Fantasy, where he had no feeling in his voice at all). I don't see how he could have said those lines any better.
"half-assed record" - Far too much time, money, and effort went into this album for you to call it half-assed.
"with Rihanna phoning-in a performance whinier than she ever has before" - How was she whiny? She wasn't like Mary J. Bligeing it or anything, she just sang like she usually does, and her voice suited it well. And I'm not saying Rihanna's a great singer, but who would be better for that hook? Or how could Rihanna change her tone to make it better? I don't get your point.
"Jay-Z being wheeled out of the old folk’s home to say some stuff about things that means nothing to anyone" - I'm not sure if you realized it, but this is at least partially a concept album. The guests are all super-important because they all represent something. Regardless of whether you actually liked their verses or not, they were all essential. Jay represents the industry. He's on Monster to represent how the music industry infected Kanye. And he's on So Appalled to represent how the industry shows no remorse.
I hope I'm not coming across as a defensive super-fan. I never have a problem with people giving albums I like low ratings if they have a good reason, but this review just said a bunch of stuff that made no sense.

I agree College Dropout was the only good album i like by Kanye, The only great things about this
album is the music and production....and that Chris Rock bit that was hilarious. Other than that I
just don't see the jizz given over this album at all. Great review though pos'd

It's fatuous bullshit, like much of the lyrical content on here.
"his delivery on tracks like ‘Gorgeous’ and ‘All of the Lights’ is the stunted, rhythmless croaks of a buffoon" - Idk what you're talking about. Yeah he stays on beat, but there's little flow to the rhymes. They sound stuck together, rather than parts of the same fluid chain.
"half-assed record" - Far too much time, money, and effort went into this album for you to call it half-assed.
Far too little time went into writing decent lyrics to call this anything but. Time, money and effort can't hide a talent deficiency.
"Jay-Z being wheeled out of the old folk’s home to say some stuff about things that means nothing to anyone" - I'm not sure if you realized it, but this is at least partially a concept album. Bow down to the mighty concept and ignore the emptiness you foolish mortals!

biased reviews are fine as long as you're biased for subjective reasons exclusive to your tastes, and not due to external influences separate from the music and the music alone
if this is where your biases stem from, then great. otherwise, bullshit
also that aids line is awesome lol so wtf. review read well though, i'll give you that

Well I've got no problem with Kanye per se, and I loved this at first, so much it made my year-end list. It just grated on me after more time. Tbh I was blind drunk when I wrote this so it's a little strong. Stand by all the main points, though. Bad lyrics in metal is ok, but in rap they just stick out.

I liked this a lot on first listen. Second listen, I could barely get through the whole album, I just kept wanting to put on better rap.
