I keep listening to this and thinking "this is prty gud" and then those stupid clean vocals come in on Testimony and it's just like ugh. That and the pointless instrumental track mean it's got like 5 good songs on an album that's taken nearly 3 years to make...unimpress.

I enjoy good instrumentals, but the short length makes it more of an interlude, which doesn't work well.

I admit the interlude is completely pointless, and brings the tracks down to 6. But I actually like the cleans on Testimony (and the rest of that song kicks enormous arse anyway).

I haven't seen any reviews commenting on the lyrics though, which is odd considering the massive leap between Fractures and this.

But yeah, for a 3 year wait I am a little disappointed, but honestly, out of all the albums I've hyped up for myself over the years this is the first to come close to fulfilling it.

It just makes me want more.

Then why only a 3? It may not fulfil your desires entirely, but if it makes you want more it's obviously still really good.

I keep switching between 3 and 3.5, so I do believe it's good (I've also been trying to be a little stingier with my rakings). I like the new things they present here, but I don't think they elaborate on them nearly as well or as fully as they could have. Also, it makes me want more because it feels incomplete, moreso than because it's good.

I pos'd, even though I disagree in parts.

Testimony cleans are a little annoying at first but _then_ become strong while hitting the high, emotional peaks. These parts sound completely honest - and that is what hardcore is about. Not about the notes being perfectly fine ,)

Also the length does not at all matter for me. It feels like an album to me, so I can't complain. Anyway I am a fan of EP's and quick consumption in general - maybe that is the reason for liking Lucky Me so much .)

All in all awesome stuff. Getting ambient and atmospheric, emotional moments into a 20-minute-record is hell of a wonder and imo needs some major respect. Best hc release 2010 besides Kerouac & United Nations.
