Disambiguation is actually tied with Define the GReat Line for my favorite but I love them both for different reasons.

Here's the setlist from last night.

1. Breathing In a New Mentality
2. It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door
3. In Division
4. In Regards to Myself
5. Unsound
6. Driftwood
7. Emergency Broadcast: The End is Near (with Aaron Gillespie)
8. Reinventing Your Exit (with Aaron Gillespie)
9. Illuminator
10. Young and Aspiring
11. Paper Lung
12. Moving for the Sake of Motion
13. Who Will Guard the Guardians
14. Everyone Looks So Good from Here

Encore:

15. Casting Such a Thin Shadow
16. A Boy Brushed Red Living In Black and White
17. Writing on the Walls

Listening to this for the first time, very impressed. Definitely their most mature work, the composure and pacing in tracks like "Paper Lung" is unprecedented.

2 years later and driftwood is still one of underoath's overall weakest songs

Driftwood is a nice in-between track, it reminds me of a song from Kid A so I give it props for that.

it's always been such a buzzkill for me. in division through illuminator is so perfect and then driftwood comes on and is all "electronic filler that has no purpose or climax"

You just don't get it's subtle awesomeness. It's only 3 minutes anyway.

i don't ever skip it because it'd feel too unnatural but it's still one of my lesser favorite underoath interludes

This is a menacing monster of an album, Chamberlain is a beast on vocals (very impressive).

Such a shame that they've called it a day, but at least they signed off on a high note. The last 3 albums are among my all time faves (and I've been listening to metal/rock for over 20 years).

I hope these guys have a change of heart & return in the not too distant future.

Also: For me 'Driftwood' despite being kind of like an interlude is one of the highlights of the album, it adds to dark brooding vibe of the record as a whole too, whilst at the same time offering a welcome moment of calm.

Nice review btw.
