what the whole issue is, from what im seeing is that you think i rated it to harshly. i on the other hand i don't. sorry if i haven't gotten around to rating a bunch of albums i dont like yet. ill try to get on that...... but i liked the album art for this album thought the review was good so i checked it out. didn't like it saw a bunch of people did and thought it would be nice to post what i think about it since im now using it as a coaster essentially.
once again im sorry if that bothers you.. which it obviously has botherd people but i wont change my rating based on what you say because then its not my rating.
hence the end of my thoughts on this album.

Great album. It kinda sucks that this site is making this out to be so good and popular and people who
normally wouldn't listen to this are now listening to it and being disappointed. Like that '1' rating?
Unnecessary.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm glad this is getting exposure, but people just can't go in expecting
too much because some guy said its this years '59 Sound.
the summary was more to attract people from the front page to be honest though i do agree that it's a shame that people like swayzeface have interpreted that for the worse

Well, actually I'm a socialist. There's nothing wrong with having a differing opinion on an album, just when you give it the lowest rating possible and then your only justification for it is that they sing in a way that you feel is slightly pub like?!
If you can actually back your rating up, then people won't mind.

the most beautiful thing about music is its objective. i fully understand what a 1 means...... it says what it means right next to it.. and to me this is awful. a mixture of springsteen and flogging molly the combination makes me shutter in disgust.

im so sick of listening to this album just to go back and make points of my opinion but the song "stories" 00:48 - 01:20 the main chorus is sang in an Irish pub style and to me to suggest that these guys are some how americana rock when they sound more like a celtic folk punk rock band is just nuts.
just to make sure i wasn't crazy... i've played this for about 5 of my friends and asked if the brit vocal tones and pub style vocals where actually there. the general response was
if the atari's covered a mixture of the clash and drop kick murphy this is what they would sound like.

Bungy speaks the truth. Album is awesome, end of. And, tbh, even if the vocals sound Flogging Molly, and it has more of a "celtic folk punk rock" sound (whatever the fuck that is) then it still rules.
Also, his vocals sound pretty similar to a lot of "melodic punk" vocalls to be honest.

yeah i'm still not sure having a rough voice as a punk singer makes you a part of the flogging molly irish pub celtic punk we'll throw in the ataris and clash for good measure movement.

nobody said he's "associated" with punk rock, but his influence on bands like the gaslight anthem and all subsequent modern americana-oriented punk bands (like this one) is undeniable.
