one criticism of this album that's always bothered me is that it isn't "upbeat" or "fun." which is total b.s.
Shotgun, Bloom, Hammered In, Toad, In My Dreams and Bareknuckled Chris are all incredibly witty, upbeat, clever, fun -- whatever you wanna call it. Sure, there's a lot of emotional gravity on the first track and the last third of the album -- but the humorous and pop-culture aspects of it are often overlooked.
