I might bump my rating down for this, every song sounds exactly the same and this is so much shallower than the rest of their stuff

It's got it's songs and I do like the album, but I feel like it's in an awkward transitioning phase from the sound of YFW to their newer sound

almost like they took the criticisms of YFW way too seriously and ran as fast as they could in the other direction

but mainly just because it doesn't -click- with me like YFW, TDAG and Daisy do. i pretty much only jam my favorites from Deja wheras i listen to all tracks from the others

it bothers me that most people think of Deja when they think brand new.

also i'm probably going to drop to 4.5 for this, just a fanboyish moment of rediscovery

that's fair. this was the first brand new album i listened to, but honestly i only started really getting into it after jamming the other 3 for so long. what do you consider the stand outs from deja?

tdagarim grew off me so much, feels pretty melodramatic and deja just does the sound they're going for best imo

I've always loved Devil and God most but I could probably be swayed to think of Daisy as their best

Deja is actually the best Brand New. But the best Brand New song is actually on here, Soco Amaretto Lime.
