I’m hooked on their debut atm. Really addicting prog folk. Hep is my next stop tonight

I prefer l'Heptade but this certainly has a more personal and intimate sound

this >>> L'Heptade
L'Heptade's lyrics are so corny and his Quebecois accent is more laughable than anything

no way dude, l'heptade is better

I politely disagree. Musically L'Heptade is incredible, but I just can't enjoy these vocals and lyrics. There also are some cheesy moments on this one, but at least I never burst out laughing while listening to Les Cinq Saisons.

i get what you're saying, that the vocals are sometimes forced for emotional payoff, but overall it's beautiful

french sounds emotional no matter what you do tbh

@smaug i guess it's because i can understand what they're saying and it's kinda diminishing the music's impact imo
@MrSir listen to some Kaaris and you'll see how it can absolutely not emotional

Oh, thats nice!
Agréable surprise, j’me doutais pas que ce monstre sacré québécois étais présent dans Sputnik.
Of course, this is a rock folk classic that can compete with Opeth on the folk level.
@dedex
J’peux comprendre pourquoi tu ressent cela face aux paroles ;)

Pareil FR33, je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'ils soient aussi connus chez les anglophones. Tant mieux!
Concerning the vocals, I was used to Quebecois artists having a thick accent when speaking, but not when they were singing (maybe not the best examples but Garou or Celine Dion) and it felt weird hearing a Quebecois sing with a thick accent :-(

Et bien de la part d'un vrai Québécois francophone, trés belle critique et quelle album magnifique!
ps; J'adore ton nom, Jethro Tull fait surement partie des meilleurs groupes...
