The 3:00-3:45 of Whole Lotta Love is one of the greatest dick dragging swagger moments in the history of rock.
This is a top 10 all time album, maybe top 5

This band is what you get when you cross real deal hardship yank delta blues soul searching influencing brow beaten geezers who played in the blown out streets of post war Britain with nothing to lose.
Proper as fuck, once in a lifetime, talented, stars aligned, timeless stuff that will never ever be ‘created’ or ‘copied’
Sabbath are still better though.

I've been jamming them hard my entire life, and only recently have I came to fully appreciate John Paul Jones, which has somehow given me a newfound love for them.

The problem that presents itself is no matter how revolutionary this band is, how tight they were, how much swagger they carried or how mighty the balls were which they swung. They ain’t sabbath.

I don't really lump them together. Both are among the best 5 bands ever.

I put it down to the fact that it’s all come from the same place/time. Both from Brum and massively influential on metal.

Its too bad they stole that song lmao. The only black mark on an otherwise flawless musical legacy.

A reinterpretation that carries about 500 times the swagger

Agreed hard on the swagger. Probably should have thrown the bloke a songwriting credit though.

Black Sabbath is my no.1 favorite band. But trvth must be told:
Led Zeppelin were on a league of their own.

I feel like Tom Morello ripped off Heartbreaker's main riff several times, but I can't put my finger on the specific instances

Well, if he was blatantly copying songs he wouldn't have a reputation of his own, right? Make no mistake, all of these guitarists are copying, they just have the ability to turn it around on their own terms and make it sound as it is "their own".
But in truth, they're just copying the hell out of each other
There was also a song on RATM's debut that was clearly copying kashmir.
