One time, I took some barbiturates, and while watching the Wizard of Oz with the sound off, I could have sworn I indeed witnessed The Dryden.
I will accept this quest, for your harrowing tale has roused my interest (gayest thing ever said, amirite?). But, if the quest indeed proves to be an insurmountable task, or if I get bored or some shit like that, I will shoutbox. I'll shoutbox so hard, it'll be like statutory (grade school all over again).

Yes, you've found the black metal equivalent of this album?
Your reputation is the thing of legends. You're probably like Jesus or something.
|
| |
and like Jesus, he smokes a lot of chronic

I can't do facial hair (and I mean "grow" and any other dirty interpretation you fancy). It comes in all scraggly and uneven.
Also I have this Russian friend. I told her that some people have referred to me as Jesus. She now calls me Cheez-Its, and it is indeed funnier in a thick Russian accent.

Maybe a sign that he's become too relevant? The pitfall of mainstream rap, indeed.

Bobby Flay.
Where's my prize?

All I know is, if I ever had talent and could rap, I'd wait till I got super relevant and then I'd release the most "artistic" "experimental" piece of music ever. I'd make sure to say all the necessary things, like: "This is my greatest, most focused album yet. Truly a return to my roots." Then I'd pull a Kevin Shields and bankrupt my record label and then call it done-zo, but not before I get video footage of the looks on the faces of my fans when they heard it.
Babies would be thrown.

indeed bulldog you have turned me on to early gucci mane but his new stuff=really wack. srsly, why the fuck would you compromise artistic credibility?
|
| |
Well I can see where one could argue in favor of deviation, if the artist is indeed attempting to grow as a performer, etc. My issue is when they deviate just to please a pre-determined audience. Firstly, you'll most likely lose loyal fans you had prior, who respected you for being genuine and true to yourself and your craft. Secondly, you are catering to an audience who most likely follows trends and has NO IDEA what they want, let alone enough for you to consider changing your entire musical standpoint for.
