ill have to check those out, thanks man. Good to see another fan of this awesome powerhouse right here

They are one of my favorite bands. I'm glad they're back together. They just finished recording a new album over the summer. Hopefully they put it out soon and that it continues where Planets of Old left off since I'm more a fan of their heavier stuff.

@HsThomas
fuck. I forgot to change that word, in fact I wanted to change it when I posted the review but Sputnik keeps giving me errors, thanks though
And Converge riffs being airy, dissonant, big and thick? Definitely see "Concubine", "You Fail Me" and anything off of "Damages".

big and thick is the antithesis of airy.

considering that than I wouldn't use airy......I kind of thought that by 'airy' you meant loud and thick, which this is at times (especially the chord progressions) but the riffs themselves are ridiculously tight and intricately harmonized, so there is a little bit of both in there (on this album). But yeah I guess my interpretation of the word airy was off in that sense

"Dead" was pretty airy.

Really? Concubine (the chord progression, not the tight ugly riff in the beginning) has repeats a chord progression twice that's literally barely a chord..... but then again it's think.....ugh im confused. "Dead" and "Last Light" are totally different though so if thats what you guys mean by 'airy' than I'm starting to see the meaning of the word

Edit: Didnt know you were referring to "Dead" which is a great song. Im starting to understand what you guys mean by airy, my definition was totally off

well if you look at the second part of that sentence you'll see I used the correct 'their', so it was just me typing fast.
