I think Polvo definitely have some highs in their discog that beat anything in The National's discog, but The National dropped hit after hit for a while there. I'd take Today's Active Lifestyles over any National record, but I have to appreciate how good The National were at extrapolating on their awesome, but much more pedestrian sound. Just very different groups at the end of the day.
But yeah, I got into Ling Tosite Shigure in college after I found the "Sadistic Summer" video. Loved the band ever since.

Secret G is probs the most complex track in their discog and the only one I straight up gave up on learning on guitar. wonderful crazy shit
