idk about molested, have seen the term 'abused' in more than one place but that could mean any number of things
from what i can piece together the dude was a total asshole to both elliott and his mum and he was angry at him for being who he was (roman candle, southern belle etc) but also angry at his mum for putting up with it and just drinking it away (last call)
no name #4 goes into it as well, her running away with him briefly but then coming back
of course these are just songs so who knows how much is true and how much is story but it's compelling af either way
