Decent review. I don't particularly care for this album because it's short and missing loads of great songs, but I imagine it could be used to define Nirvana to a first time listener.

You know you're right kinda freaks me out. This is a pretty good greatest hits, could've easily been better if it hadn't been to make money. Good review.

Chances are this has been said, but Im not going to read all of the comments untill I have my say.
The intros to come as you are and lithium, despite what the book says (because whoever wrote it was a dumbass, no offense), ARE NOT BASS. On lithium the bass doesnt even come in untill the chorus.
But disregard this, because chances are, it has already been mentioned.

How is the bass tuned to sound like a 12 string?
Both bass and guitar are tuned down a full step
which the bass doesnt soudn anything liek a guitar
it just sounds liek a bass
thats been tuned down a full step
and good review btw.

Come As You Are is bass, but Lithium might be guitar, though I'm pretty sure it too is bass.

I play both bass and guitar. Come as you are and lithium do not sound like bass.
Even the official transcriptions state that come as you are (intro untill drums and BASS start) is a guitar, tuned down a full step.
And in lithium, the bass does not come in untill the chorus.
I can even have my friend(s) vouch for me.
IT IS TEH BASSz0r!

Mr. Yo indeed has it right. I have yet to hear of a recording marvel that can make a bass sound so guitar-like.

I agree. My friend asked me what CD he should get during vacation and I told him to get this CD because it's a great way to start listening to Nirvana.

You shouldn't tell someone to learn to spell when your spelling is also atrocious.
