Yeah I'm not a fan of Void for some reason either, Egress and Light are fucking A-mazing though. The ending of Primal Directive always gets me....a lot of this album "always gets me" actually lol

First half is def the best

Oscillator and Flourish are still the shining gems on this album. But Advent is my personal favourite. Such a delicious bite-sized morsel of everything that made this album sweet as hell.

Void is supposed to be hectic per the lyrics and as part 2 of the three arc ending, but yea I felt it was too all over the place and aggressive just for the sake of being aggressive. Though like I said I understand why they wrote the song that way

This is an amazing way to associate heaviness brutality with amazing beauty...It really puts me in a space travel. They're new record is really different but equally well done. remarkable masterpieces.

The album is awesome for what it is. Not usually my cup of tea but it’s a sweet listen when I’m in the mood for technical stuff.

This isn't even that technical, it's more the nifty fusion of post-rock and prog-deathcore that makes this one pop.

Probably the best deathcore album of all time. I'll never get over the direction this band went in after this album.

Exoplanet was really special. but i think if you can detach from it you can see how special their last album is. I'm not a particular fan of Language and Intrinsic...but i guess it was a process to achieve Clairvoyant's layered sound brilliance.

Speaks quite well of the band to make arguably the best deathcore album ever and then abandon this shitty and arbitrarily restrictive genre :P

Everyone talks like it's not possible to like Exoplanet and Clairvoyant like its some sort of personal identity issue.

I don't mind the direction they went in. I thought Language was pretty good sans the hamfisted heavy sections. I just wish they did it better on Clairvoyant. album is boring.

a lot of people have your opinion...i have to respect it but makes me so sad...but only today, cause i'm drunk.

Clairvoyant is beautiful, personal and masterful. It requires several listens, full attention and involvement to understand it and to get into the layered sound and lyrics. Off course, if you go for it anxiously waiting for "heavy sections" your expectations will be blown off.

I can listen to the album for what it is, but it's still boring. I don't think they are particularly good at what they are trying to do. They are clearly talented musicians but they seem to have lost the ability to make their songs interesting (and no, I'm not suggesting that "heavy sections" is the answer).
