The two before this are essential, especially his debut. Songs From a Room isn't quite on the same level as the two albums either side of it but it's still excellent and a hard grower.

Love Calls You is really really slow-burning, but really affecting when you take it all in. every time i'm amazed at how many "in between"s he came up with, and every one is so good. prob in my top half from here

agreed on Sing Another Song. it's great but i don't think the melody is quiiite as potent as the others'.

I honestly can't tell what my least favorites on here are, they differ each time I listen
Honestly having this at a 4.5 is kind of hard for me cause I feel Diamond, Sing, Love and occasionally Joan of Arc are all on a lower level then the other 4 songs which are classic. It's not like there's a really big difference in the level of quality, it's just when you actually think about the record it seems like the difference is massive because those 4 songs are just so classic. Especially Rehearsal and Raincoat.
