It took a while for this to click with me as a total document, but now I’m torn between this and Discovery as their best studio album. Discovery is certainly an easier listen, but Homework showcases DP’s depth and fragmented aesthetic in a way that almost totally eschews camp and still sounds amazing. “Teachers”, “Da Funk,” and “Alive” are my personal favs but the whole thing is a joy to sit through

Agreed with all of that, yeah. Discovery used to be my fave as a teen, growing up, but Homework has slowly but surely taken over that first spot. Two wonderful records of course, but there's just something about this one that can't be found somewhere else.
