Couldn't stand the new Chiodos, so I moved on to this. Halfway through the first listen, and really, really digging it.

Fuck yeah, UK headline tour.

Holy shit, not a fan of this type of post-hardcore at all but I am absolutely loving this.
|
| |
It's really more-so post metal than post hardcore, js. But yeah, this band rules.

lol

See, that would be funny if it wasn't accurate.
Singing in a high-mid voice with a nasal tone doesn't make a band post hardcore.

too bad, that was funny
|
| |
P.S. this sounds somewhat like Time To Burn, bands don't need to sound like a rip-off of Isis in order to be post metal.

too bad, that was funny
Oh yeah, I forgot that disagreeing with Relinquished is fucking laughable.

good point on sounding kind of like TtB, but there's more of a dominating hardcore sound
|
| |
Uh, this album seriously sounds nothing remotely like any hardcore or post hardcore ever.

haven't heard this album whole, but this sounds more like Rinoa (Mahumodo in a few parts) and that band is not post-metal
|
| |
Yeah, Rinoa is straight up screamo, I really don't get why kids call them post metal, it confuses me. But IDK, this band always reminded me of a slightly less dark/good/screamo influenced Time To Burn.
Plus the thing with 'post' genres is that the bands don't all have the same sound, it just means they almost completely exceed the traits of the original genre, and like, this is kind of a metal album but not really, and it's definitely not screamo or post hardcore.
