Yeah, he's not even a good singer and still the vocals work excellently. I really need to check out the remainder of their catalogue, especially their recent work; Rajaz and A Nod and a Wink are supposed to be rather great.

Yes Nag, my friend. You should also check out the concept album Harbour of Tears. Rajaz has couple of epic songs and is quite laid back. A Nod and a Wink is funny and in a good mood overall. Most of its tracks sound like their good old classics.

Cmon Tyrael, King Crimson made like the best prog record ever, man.

And I have Mirage at a 5, silly.

Rajaz has couple of epic songs and is quite laid back.

I'll love it then, oh yes.

The fact that the guys in Camel can't sing (I believe Bardens sang on some as well) and still made it work only adds to their excellency, that's what I'm saying.

Also, recently listened to Caravan - The Land of Pink and Grey. All you Camel fans who haven't checked it out need to, I have no doubt Jethro has.

You're right Nag, excellent flair. There are indeed correlation between Camel and Caravan since they both come from the Canterbury scene, a British form of prog and jazz fusion. Camel is obviously more into the prog side of the equation. Camel' drummer Andy Ward was and still is a specialist in the genre. 'In the Land of Pink' and 'For Girls who Grow' are two excellent albums by Caravan. The Tangent is another solid Canterbury band to consider.

Definitely an underrated album. For a beginning to the career of one of Progressive Rock's best ever bands, this is unsurprisingly excellent music. Obviously more of a blues influence in some places, but it still shows their more experimental side.

@KILL: Its obvious queerness is derived from it's ah! vantgarde aesthetic. I'm quite happy about it, and so are you.
