My faith has been restored, I'm sorry Persefone never should have doubted you

Sounds as vicious as Shin Ken at some points, I approve

It'll definitely be different, but with that same Persefone sound. Don't see this going wrong anymore, the previews have convinced me enough I think.

I dunno where it will fall for me. Can't wait to dig into it.

Definitely want to be the one to review this, I wanna write some more. No better album to do if for than for one of my all time favorite artists.

Honestly I thought the previews sounded more cohesive than SM right away.

Idk why but from all the previews, I've been obsessed with Spiritual Bliss. That build up sounds soooo epic. If we're very lucky, the title track might remind us of Seed.

I don't think they're trying to recapture Core's sound. Every album since then has been noticeably different from it, like they're trying to find similar success with a different take on their core elements. Aathma might be where they finally realize a new potential.

I don't expect them to recapture Core. In fact, I don't want them to since it's a once in a lifetime-album. They've evolved way too far for that anyway. I just have a hunch that we might experience the same magic on the 20-minute title track. It will also be interesting to see how the overall sound will be with this new line-up.

I think their old guitarist finished his work on the album before leaving tho, I might be wrong

Whole discography is ridiculously consistent, but this > debut without a doubt

Gonna jam in a minute here. Luckily when I work weekends I have a lot of time to jam new stuff.

I've listened to this twice, but it didn't really do a lot for me. Not bad, but it doesn't really stick...
Hopefully it'll grow on me.
