Nice review, could'nt do better myself... Though I HATE "best of"s and other similar craps, "Exposure : In Retrospect & Beyond" is worth every fn' dollar. Not sure if there is a review for this one (did'nt checked, anyway...) but it would be a great idea. Nice work on the review!

good job on the review, but i just think this cd isnt that great. from listening to it, they got the talent, but this cd is just kinda a mixed bag to me. i wish they added more solos too.

So brilliant.
and Wolf/Raven, Exposures was more of a tool to get their demo material out there than to just be a "best of"

this album takes many listens to get accostumed to, or to get the point of it, if you only listen a few times you'll end up with ratings such as 3, its a complex album, and yeah I do kinda agree on more guitar solos,

All of their songs have lead parts in one form or another, often "solo" form, but they mix them really low...they don't really bring them out. Which I'm fine with...I think it adds more than it subtracts.

This is my favorite DT album. Some songs I don't care for but the most part, it's all good.

Goddamn metal rules. Everybody out there throw the horns.
You know you want to (:

I forgot to add on my last post that although i find this album alright, Stanne's vocals are just great. Im very picky when it comes to growling and stuff, but theres just something about his voice...it really blends in well with the music...basically i really enjoy the vocals

Stanne is probably one of the best vocalists around today, I think. He's got a pretty standard melodeath voice, but something about it doesn't piss me off the way the gents from Arsis and At The Gates do. He also does it better than anyone else.

I agree with S_F. I think Stanne is definately one of the top vocalists around in the genre.

ok ok, im back to comment on this, for the third time.
well, after listening to this about four times in a row on a bus ride to orlando, i felt it deserved a slightly higher score. i got around the fact that they dont solo often, and instead i really got into the other aspects, such as the vocals, and the great melodic choruses. good stuff.
