I'm fairly confident the only real criteria that gets people promoted is how good their reviews are perceived to be by the people doing the choosing. Approval Rating means shit all.

Your premise is polarizing, your writing, ftmp, is not. The first paragraph comes across as choppy and uninviting, and you switch back and forth between Lift Your Skinny Fits Like Antennas to Heaven and Lift Your Skinny Fists, rather than beginning it as the full name and then out, using the latter option only.

But writing a pointless review, could, to some come across as pretentious, symbolizing how pretentious the album is, and in comprison, they'd both be equally useless. So perhaps your attempts of putting emphasis on the album's importance made it less important!
