Album Rating: 3.0

After selling over 1 million copies of their debut LP, pop-country trio Lady Antebellum shoot for the stars on album #2 'Need You Now'. Very slickly produced for a country release, the dual male/female vocals remain the band's strength, and while occasionally bringing a touch of modern flair to the genre, there is nothing musically ground-breaking here. Highlighted by the title track's infectious chorus, 'Need You Now' is more consistent than its predecessor, but still falters before the end. It's extremely predictable, but there are enough hooks here for genuine crossover potential. Recommended Tracks: Need You Now, Our Kind of Love & Love This Pain.
