I appreciate the compliments guys, really, but don't be afraid to hurt my feelings... even if the writing's adequate, what do you guys disagree with/ see as wrong with the analyzation?

... well, it was kinda a cheap shot at Davey (half-kidding) who, in his 5 review for this declared this the

best post-hardcore album even ...

DaveyBoy is a cool dude and all, but his music taste is horrendous.

i don't mind the deep-rooted and obstinate hatred MJ has for humanity. Seanemone just comes off as a big pussy who rescinds on many of his statements when called out for their hypocritical nature

he name drops various early post-hardcore bands, claiming the groundwork they've laid is being fouled by the more poppy, more shallow write-ups of shit like Emery and Red Jumpsuit. he then goes to state (multiple times) that he's not an expert on the genre, when the name-dropping of bands like Big Black and Rites Of Spring comes off as an outright flexing of his knowledge muscles.

this is in part his assumption that anyone who listens to the likes of Emery or RJA, and enjoys them, would have zero appreciation/awareness of the 'foundation' bands within the genre

the review seems to have been written hoping for a large response from those who hold this album in high esteem, and the quip of taking focus away from the CTTS review is a testament to it

Seanemone: "Dude, I was just joking around with the CTTS comment!"

the review is written well but the conclusions seem to have no solid evidence to back them up. instead of just ripping the album and the band, why not go into detail about what is actually wrong with it? the only two songs mentioned in the review you have nothing negative to say about.
