I find the "Ever ever, ever ever, ever ever!" part on Diamonds from Sierra Leone to be very annoying...

ok shit, what's the real name of that song now:
is it "Diamonds", "Diamonds are forever" or "Diamonds from sierra leone". What does it say on the album? This Message Edited On 01.29.06

" Diamonds from Sierra Leone"

Why didn't you just check the tracklist in the box beside the review?

yeah I did, but the problem is, I made a bet with a girl who is
sure it's called "Diamonds are forever". And she states her friend has the album and she told her so. So I wasn't sure.

A surprisingly good commercial hip-hop record. Actually, it's the only commercial hip-hop record I own, so that's saying something. My favorite track is Touch the Sky.

As far as hip-hop goes, I'd say the best is either Deltron 3030 or Jurassic 5. Easily.

Are you talking about on Gold Digger? Of course he'd imitate Ray Charles, it is a Ray Charles sample (from "I've Got a Woman").

That's on Outkast thing, from "Mrs. Jackson" I believe.

"Touch the Sky", "Gold Digger", "Addiction" and "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" are the best tracks for me. The skits, and portions of some of the songs get really annoying. Quite a few drag on for longer than they really should, also.

Substitute "Crack Music" for "Gold Digger" and that's generally how I feel about the album still.

The line "THIS IS CRACK MUSIC NIGGGAAAAAA" ruins that whole song for me.

I'm starting to like parts of this. It will probably grow on me. Gold Digger and Touch the sky are good songs.

I've been thinking about reviewing The College Dropout in the future. That is, if someone else doesn't want to sometime.

I'm not sure if it's as good as Late Registration; they seem to be pretty equal, though The College Dropout seems to have a much lighter feel to it.

College Dropout > Late Registration
It seems that I'm on and off with LR while I can usually listen to CP on a more regular basis and get the same effect everytime.

The College Dropout has the best individual songs ("All Falls Down", "Jesus Walks", "Through the Wire"), but I think Late Registration is better as a whole, and the filler isn't as bad either.
