But I will say, the fact Bowie thought switching It's Gonna Be Me/Who Can I Be Now? for Across the Universe is laughable. I don't mind the cover but the difference in quality is night and day.

Bowie is so crazy. This is barely a top 10 album in his discography and like 99,99 % of other artists never write a song as good as Young American.

Nah:
1. Rise and Fall
2. Station to Station
3. Low
4. Heroes
5. Diamond Dogs
6. Alladin Sane
7. Hunky Dory
8. Blackstar
9. Scary Monsters
10. Young Americans / The Next Day
(and we still have albums as great as Lodgers and The Man who sold the world who are career-highs for other artists, but miss out on the top 10)

discog walk; complete visit. Good+ album, the change in style on this LP is not where David Bowie shine. Some great songs that everyone knows. 3.2

The I'm Only Dancing live album is super interesting. Bowie never actually toured this album, but the last leg of the diamond dogs tour Bowie was already full soul mode and every song was completely rearranged to match that vibe. Lots of early renditions of songs/b-sides from this album too. Bowie's voice is kinda shot (peak drugs era) but he's backed by like 10 backup vocalists the band is superb

Yeah idk, this kind of style basically just goes in one ear and right out the other. It's been played to death but fame is pretty great and so is the title track. I could take or leave the rest of the album; it's not bad, it's just fine
