"my only problem is him using his damn falsetto so damn much"
Diamond's voice is definitely an acquired taste but it's part of the theatrics so in future time it becomes a pro rather than a con.

I'm not the biggest fan of KD's vox myself, but they compliment the tempo changes in the music. Much like Ozzy complimented Sabbath's gloom & doom feel.

Agreed with Manosg 100%. Really didn't like the box at first but I adore them now, they're definitely an integral part of Mercyful Fate's brilliance.

Agreed hard!
Once you get acclimated to his vocals, they become the most "metal" thing you can ever imagine.

That's what I mean, when you get to dig the KD and then combine it with the riffage, you can't get more metal, except maybe Judas Priest.
|

Naw, this is more metal than Priest. And Priest is fuckin' metal. But do they have a song called Satan's Fall?
Nope!

Priest was influential, but these guys just brought the m/ to new heights.
They went "boldly where no metal band had gone before".
Another reason why my 4.5 makes no sense, hmmm.
