omfgggg I totally agree. I also think that For Whom the Bell Tolls is epic but way overrated (dont kill me). And not cause it doesn't have a solo, but I always preferred Creeping Death, the title track, Fade to Black and even fucking Trapped Under Ice( for real) over it.

Eye of the Beholder is probably my least favorite on AJFA, but that solo is awesome (I call that The Thing That Should Not Be syndrome -- kinda bland song, awesome solo)

lol The Thing that Could Not Be syndrome. Some people, well most say the only better thing about AJFA than RTL and MOP are riffs and drumming, but I actually find that lyrically, AFJA is the best, and a more relevant note, to what Inveigh said, most people say that a lot of AJFA is boring cause of the long songs, but for some reason, AJFA grips me the most.

Try jizzing on "One", humping "Sanitarium" or necking with "The Four Horsemen" lol.

even though Fade to Black is still maybe my favorite Metallica song for solos, I think AJFA and Black Album easily are the best 'tallica albums for solos.
See: My Friend of Misery, The God That Failed, Blackened, One, The Eye of the Beholder, Harvester of Sorrow, The Unforgiven, Don't Tread On Me

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA. no. Whats funny is, IMO, besides Rust in Peace, Kill Em All was Dave's greatest creation, and only like 65 percent of Kill Em' All was him alone!

yeah Inveigh, but My Friend and Don't Tread are horrendous songs for me. Solowise, I dunno, prolly AJFA and Lightning. Even though Master is my second fave Tallica, its more about the arrangements on that one.

Disposable Heroes and Orion both have epic solo sections, but other than that (and the obvious good ones in MoP and Sanitarium that have to be mentioned I guess) I'm not much for the soloing on that record. Same for RtL, title track, Fade and Creeping Death have great solos, but the rest of that album's all about the riffs for me.
I love My Friend as a song, and I love the solo. It has everything that Hammett ever did, the clean/reverb, the harmony/pitchshifter, the shred and the wah. The God That Failed is just damn catchy, and James makes it perfect by starting it out with that "yea-heyah!!!" Don't Tread is a pretty bad song, but I like the wah intro for the solo. Unforgiven is just classic, and pretty much every solo on AJFA rules.
