Have you heard thresholds? I actually think it's better than this, although this is pretty good.

Earache had a kickstarter to reprint it back in 2013.

People who support kickstarters should be shot to death

Even for something you'd want at the end of it?

No matter what.

theres no downsides to crowdfunding, people that are against it should be drowned in a sea of dollars
|
| |
There's plenty of downsides
|
| |
name 1
|
| |
Game developer creates kickstarter
Many people donate
Goal is reached
Developer abandons the project
|
| |
Artist says "we'll record a new album if you pay us"
Fans pay
Artist releases a fucking turd of an album
"Oh well we already got paid"
|
| |
neither of those are downsides of crowdfunding though
first one is the person being a colossal knob... and correct me if im wrong, but dont these services forbid you from doing that? that is just straight up theft, pretty sure its not allowed...
second one is totally fucking subjective. how is that possibly crowdfundings fault.
|
| |
There's already been plenty of examples of crowdfunded projects being unable to unwilling to deliver their promised product.
Just look at that stupid magic ring thing
