Bloodbuzz is a lot better to me than it was on first spin, so I guess that's a good thing.
The highs are so high on hear that it's almost a 4.0 imo. I think Alligator is probably the most consistently interesting though, even if I consider this their best. Pretty excited to check out the one after this later.

Thank god I'm not living for another 20 years then.

no you are definitely trying to be edgy
either that or you are extremely boring
as in you're super contrarian, as in you look for any reason not to like something so that it satisfies your prepubescent ego - instead of choosing to enjoy something, you only focus on it's flaws in some dumb incoherent analysis in order to get attention or gain approval or satisfy a need to be unique you otherwise cannot express or whatever i don't know
basically you're such a fucking buzzkill dude lighten up and focus on things you actually enjoy

wow man chill way to be a buzzkill

how can u say that if your favorite album is from 2010 boney?????????

I'm poking fun at you.
That said my favorite album is 2/3 from the 90s
|

"I'm poking fun at you."
I've never said or even implied that the 90's was better. TBH the mainstream music of the 90's was a tad bit disappointing imo, even if it was groundbreaking and has a lot of amazing albums.
The 2000's is awesome. Both because of the music and the internet. I mean you wouldn't get In Rainbows or Like Clockwork without the 2000's.
But I thought this was your favorite album Boney bro???

ALA I was just saying that because all your 5s are from the 90s (actually wait Unwound isn't)
I'm indecisive so I have a three way tie for favorite album with this, Ok Computer (though that's largely nostalgia as I don't listen to that like ever anymore) and Lucinda Williams' Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. Currently Car Wheels is probably the fave of the 3 but it varies over time.
|
| |
That logic is strange, but I see your point. Yeah I understand. All my 5's are super hard to rank, it's basically whatever I'm listening to at _that_ moment is my favorite 5. I'd consider Ok Computer and High Violet as really boring picks for top 3 but then again it is Boney's eccentric taste : p
Also tbh I think it's pretty funny that Sinternet said it was boring to think The National are overrated. Particularly because A) it's the most boring band to like and B) it's one of the most apathetic bands I've ever heard
Like genuinely not being a contrarian, this is very good but a bit apathetic at times.

Wouldn't "the most boring band to like" imply you think this is the most boring band you've ever heard, though?
|
| |
Na, it means that having the National as one of your favorite bands or your favorite act is not particularly unique. Not anything wrong with that though. Same with Radiohead.
I wouldn't give a 3.0+ to the most boring band ever.

Who ever said I purport not to be boring?
And it's not like I can choose what I enjoy. I just call em as I see em. I loved these guys to pretty much the same degree I do now well before I even joined Sput and knew just how popular they were in these circles.

That was the joke boney. hence the smile
"And it's not like I can choose what I enjoy. I just call em as I see em."[2]

Fav album is a hard question; Mine would probably be Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

OK Computer is probably still my favorite album of all time, but there are a couple that are rather close behind: Crazy on the Weekend, and The Weakerthans' Left and Leaving
|
| |
That Weakerthan's album looks like it's worth checking out. I need to revisit Crazy.
There's a few things that stop Ok Computer from being a favorite for me. One of them is the fact that I never got into Paranoid Android or Let Down very much compared to others, I'm very bipolar on my opinions on those songs, though generally I think Let Down is one of the worst Radiohead songs I've ever heard.
