It's called lo-fi...

For example the clipping on the acoustic guitars in the title track.... Why. Its not like it's a really live sounding album or even that it sounds like it sounds like it was recorded or mixed poorly. It just gets in the way of my enjoyment personally.



Its more like, 'hey we recorded an honest sounding indie album, lets make it loud and distorted as hell and use the entire stereo image the whole time and get rid of its singer songwriter feeling because reasons'



I guess what Im trying to say is that youre recording with professional equipment and trying to make it sound like you're not.... That's something I'll never understand.

Also tbf theres some albums I love now that I would've fought every production decision made if I had worked on it. So good thing I didn't work on them

The production is not crystal clear for sure but "absolutely obnoxious" is really stretching it.

The album is lo-fi to make it feel more natural and spontaneous.
