Nah, Revocation have a lot of death metal and thrash influence, definitely not metalcore imo

Buried Inside is one of those bands though. Chaos with melody. I wouldn't group them with Converge nor Killswitch.

Johnny Truant strike a nice balance between technical and melodic and all things on In The Library

Honestly the Converge brand of metalcore and the Killswitch brand shouldn't even be given the same genre label

they're not the same genre it's just some people are dumb fuckin fuck heads that need to be shot with a needle comprised of serum that at it's end has chemicals which revert the dumb fuckin thinking they go through to have dumb fuckin opinions

lol Yeah. That's why a lot of people that came out of that Converge scene and enjoy that kind use the term "metallic hardcore" instead. I feel like this generation of metalcore and most popular stuff after is more metal than anything and Converge's stuff feels way more like actual hardcore than anything.

Yep. This is basically ATG-style melodeath with clean vocals. Converge is just hardcore with some sweet metal riffs.

I might like this more than Alive or Just Breathing now.

The overly dramatic themes can certainly be overbearing, but the music itself is great. I especially enjoy the introductory track "A Bid Farewell" and the tear jerking "Inhale".

I'm surprised this review is default, I thought it to be one of my weaker ones.

Haven't listened to this in a long time but might revisit it soon.

This album is just a straight nostalgia trip for me. Love Jesse's appearance in "Take this Oath."
