Ween is one of the weirdest bands that I have ever listened to. God Ween Satan The Oneness is Weens debut album and it's definately there loudest and most expiremental.

Ween can play almost any genre of music. This album goes from raging rock songs like "Old Queen Cole", "Fat Lenny", and "Papa Zit" to loveable pop songs like "Marble Tulip Juicy Tree." If you still don't think they have range check out the gospel fusion "Up on the Hill" or the smooth relaxing "Nicole." Ween also mixes emo into the mix with "Birthday Bash", right after this comes "Blackjack" an intense psychadelic song. After this comes "Squelch The Weasel" a folk/country song. If you're still not satisfied how about the funky 'I'm in the mood to move" or the ling 8:48 Prince "L.M.L.Y.P"(influenced by a Prince song.) Maybe "Hippy Smell" will satisfy you with it's chill out, or hippy feel. I'm basically saying that there are 29 songs on here and none of them sound the same at all. Ween is all over the place.

You can't really say Ween is a love or hate band, there is something on this album for everyone. You could definately say that Weens songs are love or hate. Out of the 29 songs on this album I like 22 of them. I'm fine with skipping seven tracks because there is so much stuff and different songs on here.

I would stay far away from this album if you don't like weird and expiremental music. This album is sort of hard to listen to and you will not be able to listen to this all the way through. If you want to get this you have to keep an open mind.

Once again this is an odd and expiremental album. I personally love it, but I also know a lot of other people who hate Weem, or think they're a joke band. The first time you listen to this you'll probably say to yourself something like "What the hell is this", but then 10 minutes later you will have the song stuck in your head. Ween is just like that, so you probably won't like Ween at first but you just have to stick with it and give it another chance.

Overall rating 3.5/5

Pros : Ween cover a lot of genres and there is never a dull moment
Crazy and fun tracks
29 songs, and 76 minutes long
Hilarious lyrics

Cons : The music can be very loud and annoying
Not all tracks are listenable
Some people think Ween is a joke band, and there music is to weird.

Never heard of them, but if they are like Mr. Bungle I'd probably like them.

I suggest you check them out. I suppose there sort of like Mr.Bungle, but even less mainstream.

They are weird like Mr.Bungle, as far as there sound goes they're not that similar to Mr.Bungle. No one really sounds like Ween

Ween is sweet, but i prefer Chocolate and Cheese or The Mollusk over this. The production is a little too shoddy for my likings.

And I would definately say that Ween is a love-or-hate kind of band.

Chocolate and Cheese is excellent. It's hard to say what the best Ween album is since they are all drastically different. This Message Edited On 02.05.06

It's hard to say what is the best album... they are all drastically different. Each one has great songs and songs that are just ok. Mr. Bungle is awesome... and so is Ween... But they cannot be compared.

Yeah, Ween rock. It is just that simple. Their later stuff isn't as crazy, but I find it just as enjoyable.
