If you only got into The John Butler Trio because of Butler’s guitar playing then avoid April Uprising, it won’t satisfy you and you’ll most likely regret spending the money on it

This.

So I guess thats

What the fuck is wrong with you?

He has moved so far away from what people sat up and took notice of in the first place its beyond a joke. :P

Yep, fun... that's it. Got the chance to catch JBT live last week. Great show. New stuff fit in seamlessly with the old. When you got a house full of fans, drinking Red Bull and... whatever, ya gotta pick it up. April Rising does just that.

I dont know what this reviewer is talking about? Older brother, Middle brother, dumber younger brother? Damn no, get out the door, dont think you should review no more.

JB said it himself, this was a conscience effort to be less cerebral, and go with the feel of the new band. I think it feels good.

took me a little bit to get into this as there's no face melting acoustic guitar to speak of, but this album is fantastic in its own right as just an alt rock record, so many great songs

Nice album overall, but not sure this stacks up very well compared to his previous stuff.

First half is really good tho.
