He never could do Elite that well live. Besides on older stuff (which he still does surprisingly well to this day, Deftones played 7 words and Engine no 9 at the concert I saw and they were great) he's never been that good at screaming consistently. But when he uses it sparingly it sounds amazing. I remember My Own Summer being the sickest thing ever really.

lots of great songs here, but the overly polished production hurts it a lot. still an awesome album, but down there with SNW as my least favs by Deftones

I don't get this bands hype, I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't care for the Deftones. Sometimes
I feel i'm biased toward them because of how popular they are (god damn hipster).

I listened to this album a couple times and only liked diamond eyes... played that a few times and got
bored of it, so i figured the rest of the album would be the same. I think i'm willing to give them
another try though, anyone is welcome to give me album recommendations to start on these bands.
