I kinda like that. He does his job as a frontman really well, conveying a lot of energy so the audience can feel engaged. He's a performer. That's what I expect one to do.

Everytime they play longview, a 12 year old from the audience goes onstage to sing the 3rd verse. I wonder what the kids parents think of that each time.

Yeah he did, but I actually thought that was pretty cool. The part that I hated was that halfway through pretty much every song he'd do the whole 'and I say ehhh-ooooo' thing. It's like come on man just play When I Come Around without stopping it's such a jam.

Ugh it's so fucking annoying everytime he does that.

Oh that. Yeah that's annoying. It works sometimes, like as an intro to East Jesus Nowhere, but for the most part it's insanely annoying.

It extends american idiot 2 minutes live.

Lol another gripe I have is that he doesn't play as much guitar as he used to, and leaves the soloing to Jason. Petty I know but w/e.

He doesn't have time to play guitar anymore because all of the "I say ehhhhh-oooo"s that he's been doing lately

Green Day was just much better in the 90's on all fronts, even live, they were just to the point.

I used to think insomniac was their best, but it immediately got dethroned when I heard this. I think insomniac is definitely their best from a lyrical standpoint though.

Prosthetic Head works really well as a closer imo, although I'm shocked they didn't have Good Riddance there.

At first I was confused too, but now I'm pretty happy they ended it with Prosthetic Head. Its loud, explosive, and what they do best.

I've always wished they put desensitized on the album. Song is one of their best b-sides
