I find live vocals always sound different than studio vocals

Jens has to scream the whole show, it definitely has to sound different. He even said in the interview he doesn't really take care of his voice as much as he should.

exactly, whereas when you're recording you get breaks/do sections of songs and can take the time to bring your voice back up to par

The Mouth Licking What You've Bled sounds ridiculously good.

It's a crime, an unholy, unforgivable crime against humanity that Future Breed Machine (or anything from Destroy Erase Improve) isn't on this disc. That said, every song they do on Alive blows the studio versions out of the water.

The snare sounds like flimsy and overall just shit relative to the studio version of many of the songs, but otherwise these live versions rule face hard agreed

yeah I like the way Jens sounds on these recordings.
Somehow it's just heavier seeing that they ACTUALLY throw down live, unlike so many heavy bands these days.

The mixing on this is sooooo much better than the Ophidian Trek.
Ending of New Millenium is even more m/ here than on Chaosphere.
