Baby Birch is a beauty as well. t/t, California, Provenance, Good Intentions, '81, Go Long & Ribbon Bows (sneaky pick?) are all superb (there are more - essentially all of disc 1 and about half of the rest is borderline stunning, which is truly ludicrous for a 2hr album)
disc 1 - 5.1/5
disc 2 - 4.7/5
disc 3 - 4.5/5
probably underrating it a little, especially disc 1

Go Long is top-tier for sure
Ghandi’s rating makes sense but is also mildly triggering because maths fail(?)

Then again if you rate on the basis of ‘quantity of incredible material’ then this absolutely qualifies regardless of whether those ratings hold true as ‘averages’ or whatever

I don't distribute scores in a way that 5.0=10 , 4.5=9, 2.5=5 etc
If you are referring to what intuitively might seem like a scoring misalignment.
It is plausible that I lower this to a 4.5 in future. It's around the borderline.

Fair Ghandi - I don't assign ratings in a way that necessarily makes 'mathematical sense' either
'kingfisher underrated'
I just checked and my pick of Ribbon Bows is the lowest rated song (across all 3 discs) on RYM @ 3.99. Rock Bottom. Yeah, that one is definitely underrated for me
Kingfisher is v competitive @ 4.38 - although a great song for sure and not mentioned a lot on here (seemingly) so I'm not necessarily refuting the underrated claim, but there are levels here ;-)

"how would you rate the individual discs fog? Put on your most critical of hats for this task"
i've never really thought about it, i can say i listen to the 3rd disc the most, then the 1st, and then the 2nd. but it's all stellar.

disc 3 is definitely > disc 2 for me now
Esme, Ribbon Bows and Kingfisher are all incredible. They eclipse disc 2’s material. Go Long is maybe close. You and Me, Bess v good but not quite up there
anyway, I made a non-committal decision to hit play this morning and I’m sat here two hours later on the final song. I swear it’s impossible to turn this off unless circumstances force an early exit
