Great album but not a 5 by a long shot.

I just love this album to death, and even viewing it objectively, I can't take a half-point off.

I don't hate Creed. Did I give you that impression in the review?

I'm not a huge fan, but they're definitely not as bad as they're made out to be.

I like straightfoward hard rock, I still need to hear this.

If you haven't already, you should check out Lostprophet's stuff.

Thought of checking them out actually, I've heard a couple songs here and there that I liked. I was also curious after reading DaveyBoy's review. Which album would be the best start?

I'd go with The Betrayed (their latest). Then move from their earlier stuff (that's what I'm doing, seems to be working).

Excelent job. I wasn't expecting anything less though.

I agree with you in most parts here. Blackbird is the master here, my favorite of all. Rise Today is

for sure the most commercial, Break Me Down is not a bad song but it is the weakest link. Also Watch

Over You, Before Tomorow Comes, Coming Home, Ties That Bind are highlights in this album. This is for

sure one of the best albuns I've ever listen.

Thanks man. Yeah I'm sure plenty of people agree with most of the points I made, just not the rating lol.

Ties That Bind should seriously have been a single in the U.S, it was in Europe but not here. If it was one here it could've eliminated all of that Creed nonsense that's followed them. Then they could've followed up with Rise Today.

I sure hope not. I believe I've heard a single off this already, don't remember the name.

Me too, I might have a look for this next time I got record shopping.

Oh, and ties, since you enjoy hard rock, you should check out FUEL. I know they're considered sort of one hit wonders, but Sunburn and Natural Selection are both excellent catchy rock albums-well worth a look

Probably Rise Today.

All I know is if you want a classic hard rock sound from a modern band this album won't disappoint.

And Fuel is okay, never really cared too much for them though.
